President of the republic, H. E. President Nana Akufo-Addo has called on Ghana Education Service (GES) to reconsider their decision to ban fourteen (14) students from partaking in the ongoing exams by WAEC.
In a letter addressed to the sector minister signed by communications director at the presidency, Eugene Arhin, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the worried Akufo-Addo task the education minister to engage the leadership of GES on the matter.
According to Mr. Akufo-Addo, the actions by the disappointed students that resulted in their dismissal are actually intolerable, adding that the reaction by the authority is enough to serve as a deterrent to their colleagues in future.
The number one gentleman of the land however believed everyone deserved a second chance and hoped the candidates will be recalled to join their colleagues to write the exams.
