A USA volunteer foundation known as the Gold Coast Medical Foundation based in Ghana has donated some food items and assorted drinks worth thousands of Ghana cedis to Westphalia Orphanage at Oyoko of the Sekyere Afram District in the Ashanti region.

The items donated include bags of rice, cooking oils, bags of sugar, biscuits, cartoon of milk, assorted drinks among other items to commemorate this year’s Christmas Celebrations.

The donation was done on behalf of the Gold Coast Medical Foundation by the Country Volunteer Program Director,Mr. Abdul Rahaman Jallo (Awudu Dramani)

The USA registered foundation over the years have offered free medical service, made donation to Orphanages, educational support and cash worth thousands of Ghana cedis to individuals seeking medical care.

Speaking to the media, Country’s Volunteer Program Director indicated that the gesture is to celebrate the festive with our needy brothers and sisters who happen to be in the house and not with their families.

According to him, the Gold Coast Medical Foundation has been consistent with this gesture for the past years as part of its social responsibility.

He appealed to individuals to take up the responsibility to cater for orphanage for the time they live there in but also urged the children to study hard as education is key for a better nation.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Westphalia Orphanage, the In charge, Madam Monica Addo made a passionate appeal to individuals and groups to make time out of their busy schedule to visit the children in order not to harden them the more.

She noted that the items will put into issue of it purpose. Madam Monica Addo also called on other organizations to emulate the kind gesture of the Gold Coast Medical Foundation team by consistently visiting to the orphanage.

The Gold Coast Medical Foundation was founded in 2006 registered in New York in the United States of America by Dr. Kwabena Boakye, Dr. Kwaku Boakye and Maame Boakye.
