Kpatinga Youth Association (K. Y. A.) based in Tamale has congratulated the newly enskinned chief by Yaa-Naa for the area, praying that his reign be the beginning of total peace and development, while marking the end of war therein.

The association said this in a press release copied to all media houses following the selection of Naa Abdulai Yakubu by the Yaa-Naa on January 25, last month.

According to the group, it is the prayers of the people in the area that the chief’s selection will restore the lost peace after the resolution of the conflict in Kpatinga and its sourounding communities.

He was first enskinned as Chief of Sakab, until he move to occupy the Kunkong skin and now to Kpating.

Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Kpatinga and surrounding areas from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon, and any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.

Government has also renewed curfew hours imposed on Kpatinga and its environs from 12:00 midnight to 4:00am effective Friday, January 29, 2021.

Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth and people of the area are reminded to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace.

We received the news of your elevation to Kpatinga Namship with great joy and happiness. With great honour, we the Members of KYA humbly and sincerely congratulate your elevation to Kpatinga Namship.

It is our most noble, unquenchable and utmost prayer that the Almighty Allah will continue to grants you good health even as He guides and prospers you in many more years of fulfilling reign ahead of you. Your Majesty, we extend our best wishes to you that peace, prosperity and human development shall accompany your reign.

We are very confident that in the coming years, Your Majesty’s reign would help in bringing back the once existed cordial relationship, cooperation, peace and unity that existed amongst the people of Kpatinga in particular and extended to the surrounding communities as a whole until the unfortunate situation that brought mistrust between long standing friends, husband and wife, uncle and nephew, father and son, husband and in-laws etc befell us.

It is our strong conviction, that your reign would not only bring back those good old days but would also strengthen same for the mutual benefits of our beloved once peaceful town and the adjourning communities.

Your Majesty. permit us to add that we shall not hesitate to support any social activity in Kpatinga, anytime we are called upon.
