NTV failed to shine when Sagani TV “went global”, now it’s back, how can they make it? – Mr. Tell

Host of Sagani TV’s evening talkshow dubbed – “Dini Nye Sham”, Halik Musah, widely known as Mr. Tell in the showbiz industry is wondering how can NTV progress now, when the station failed to capitalize on the exit of its main competitor, Sagani TV from the Multi-TV platform in November last year.

Taking to his Facebook page, the controversial Radio Tamale’s star presenter believed the North Television is dormant, describing it as “very static”.

“NTV had a very good opportunity to shine, which they never utilized. Now Sagani TV is back. I wonder how again. Very static”, he wrote.

The most viewed of the three (3) locally based Television Stations in Northern part of Ghana, Sagani TV announced yesterday that it was returning to Multi-TV platform after migrating to Eutelsat, which is a global platform for media outlets according to management of the station.

The northern TV giant migrated in early part of November last year till April 1 yesterday, making the station’s stay on the “global platform” six (6) months.

“Sagani TV is pleased to inform all our most cherished viewers and clients that we have added the old platform (Knet) to our current HD platform (Eutelsat) both on on Multi TV. We assure you of even more life changing content than ever before. Sagani TV.. is your time”, part of the management’s stay on the station’s Facebook page read.

During this six (6) months period, NTV was the only station operating in the northern region, with Might TV still on test transmission.

It was alleged that many individuals and organizations withdrew their businesses from Sagani TV, complaining that the station’s absence on the Multi-TV platform negatively affected the huge chunk of viewership of the station.

“Cherished viewers of Sagani Tv, A television station based in the Northern region capital of Ghana in West Africa, has expressed dissappointment in the station’s management over their inability to pre-inform them about their transition from the Multi Tv Channel to Eutelsat, which happens to be a global platform for the media outlets according to management of Sagani Tv”, hypemediagh reported.

“Most of the cherished viewers took to their various social media handles to pour out their anger about the decision made by the management and even went further by pledging not to follow the station to it’s new platform”, the site added.

Sagani TV is an offshoot of Sagani Multimedia, an organization established in Northern Region to transmit content that seeks to promote the harmonizing elements of society, promote peace and stability, while projecting the values, culture, worth and investment potential of Northern Ghana to the whole wide world.

The station now transmits on MultiTV, Eutelsat and Star Times decoders, indicating that Sagani TV still make giant strides globally.
