A Communicator of the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC in the Mion Constituency that also serves as district, identified by his Facebook account as Ibrahim Yakubu Daneey Sang has taken a swipe at the outgoing District Chief Executive for the area, Mohammed Hashimin for touting his achievements as the “best” in the district so far.

Expressing his disagreement with a Facebook post tilted – “MION DCE BOWS OUT; TOUTS ACHIEVEMENTS AS MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”, Ibrahim Yakubu wrote that they (NDC) in the district wouldn’t react, if Mr. Hashimin had exited without making such comparison.

He gave a number of reasons to support his claims that the outgoing Mion DCE is the worst DCE to have managed the political affairs of the area since its creation.

Read his post below :

I thought Hon. Mohammed Hashim Abdallah, the outgoing DCE for Mion, will bow out quietly without any kind of self-praising but since he has decided to tout his achievement in the District let he be reminded he will go down as one of the worst ever DCE for the District due to the following:

1.He furnished the official bungalow of the DCE at an exorbitant cost of 1.5 million old cedis. This bungalow he never slept in.

2.Under his watch as head of DISEC,an innocent Malik was murdered by robbers in his own house at Sang without any proper investigation conducted.

3.He abused his office by distributing cylinders meant for the public to delegates to influence his chances of winning the 2019 Npp primaries.

4.Under his watch the District office opens at 9:30 am and closes at 3:30 pm because he passes the night in Tamale.

5.He erected empty poly tanks during the peak of Covid without water in them at Sang and other places. These tanks estimated to cost 3.5 million old cedis.

6.Under his tutelage, not a single borehole nor dam is dug for the people of Sang to salvage the perennial water crises as he promised to during the 2016 campaign season.

7.Under his watch he erected and abandoned a security post at Sog-baani on Yendi -Sang road at a cost of 20,000 cedis.

As I wish Hon. Hashim very best of exit,he will be remembered for exchanging the welfare of the people of Mion for gains.
