The Students Representative Council (SRC) for the University for Development Studies (UDS) has broken its silence on the ongoing debate surrounding the cost of bus terminal at the cost of 63,175.47 GHC.

According to the statement, SRC does not control projects of that nature, even though they are financed by the resources mobilized by it (SRC).

“The fact is, the SRC/NUGS does not and did not control the said projects end to end, even though, such SRC/NUGS projects were financed by the resources mobilized by SRC”, the statement said.

“The architectural designs, the procurement processes as well as execution of the projects were spearheaded by the Management of the University, through the Works and Physical Development (WPD) unit of the school. This is the norm. The SRCNUGS identifies a project, it goes through tender, the project is awarded and executed under the supervisi on of the WPD”, it added.

The however called on the media to act professionally by always verifying before bringing out any reportage or publication, unless the aim is to soil the good image of many.

“We therefore refer all and sundry to make thorough investigations on the matter from the Works and Physical Development unit of the Central Administ ration for proper accountability”, the SRC appealed.
