A Ghanaian photographer identified on Facebook as Allen Charles Ankra has shared his thought on the trending news regarding the 72 years old Ghanaian veteran actor, Psalm Adjeteyfio who is currently asking for help to pay his rent.
Commenting on a news story by amazingtv.live with the headline ; “I have nothing, I’m 73 Years, please I need small money to pay my rent – Veteran actor”, Allen Charles Ankra asked that the actor be shown how to do betting.
“Make you show him how to bet”, he commented.
Whiles disagreeing with him for the comment by Ankra, others are wondering why Mr. Psalm could not get money from acting at the time he was a hot cakes in the country.
The Taxi Driver TV series actor in a viral interview, appealed for ¢3,000 to enable him to pay his rent or risk being evicted.
TT, as he is popularly called, revealed that after years of his acting career, he had nothing to show for it and now survives on the benevolence of others.
He stated that he had spent GH¢6,000 on hospital bills and medication, adding that the assistance from family and friends had dwindled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
So far, the vice president, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia has given GH¢ 50, 000, with the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey giving directive that GH¢ 1,500 GHC should be paid to the actor from his salary every month.
Some individuals and other organizations have also extended similar gestures to the actor since the news broke.
