The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Microfinance And Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah has expressed her gratitude to numerous of congratulatory messages following her promotion, saying the credit goes to her team.
In a Facebook post chanced on by ghdominancenews.com, Hajia Abibata said her promotion wouldn’t be possible without the support of NPP rank and file.
“Thank you so very much for your kind wishes and congratulations. You have really refueled, raised the bar and energized me”, she wrote.
“I cannot take all the credit because it belongs more to you, my best wishers and admirers. My success has always been a result of team effort with you all. If it were not for all our collective prayers, I could not have made it thus far. That is why I remain indebted to you all. God kindly bless you all”, the CEO added.
Mrs Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah until her promotion was the deputy CEO of the organization which was led by her immediate predecessor and boss, Mr. Stephen Amoah, who is currently representing the people of Nyiaeso Constituency as member of parliament.
The new CEO holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana and a Master of Public Policy and Administration degree with emphasis on Economic and Political Development from The School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) of Columbia University in the City of New York.
Some of her core interest areas are: Project Management, Business Development, Strategy, Public Management and Institutional Analysis, Government Budgeting, Operations Management, Economic Empowerment of Women, International Capital Markets, Business Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation among others.
The former Parliamentary Candidate hopeful for NPP in the Yendi constituency has applied these skills through continued work with the public service, private sector and international organizations where she acquired a wide-range of knowledge in the formulation and implementation of projects and policies.
She has extensive work experience from the following organizations: Agricultural Development Bank (Accra, Ghana) The Millennium Cities Initiative – MCI in collaboration with Earth Institute of Columbia University (Accra, Ghana), Consultancy for The Capacity Development Group (UNDP, New York), Merchant Bank Ghana Limited (Accra, Ghana) and Jospong Group of Companies (Accra, Ghana).
Hajia Abibata interned with Institute of Economic Affairs (Accra, Ghana), The Regional Bureau for Africa in collaboration with Earth Institute of Columbia University (UNDP, New York) and did her national service with UNHCR (Accra, Ghana). She is happily married with four children. She is a highly motivated individual, a team player, a results-oriented person, dynamic, analytical and highly competent.
