A section of the youth belonging to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Facebook have lamented over the status of some bigwigs of the party in the northern region who have been virtually forgotten since the party came to power in 2017.

This crusade, started by Abubakari Lukman popularly known as Aluqus and who is currently based in Germany is about drawing the attention of the party’s leadership to NPP Tamale Central Constituency Communications Director, who is widely known as Hon. Polo’s plight.

Mr. Lukman could not believe that having a godfather is now more rewarding than being hardworking for a political party.

“Our politics in Ghana have oriented us to believe that, if you don’t have a God father it will be very very difficult to navigate to the top”, Aluqus observed.

“If you doubt me, take a good look at Hon polo in Tamale : He’s without an appointment : Is anyone listening”, he specified.

So far this is umpteenth times concerned persons have brought the Hon. Polo’s plight to the public platform.

Former Radio Tamale’s Manager once raised similar issues on a political show Hon. Polo was assigned to speak for the party two (2) years ago, but was asked to stop by the man in the eye of the storm.

Hon. Polo has served the NPP in different capacities including Communications Director in Tamale Central constituency for several years.

He has also spoken for the NPP as a communicator for several years even currently.
