The Northern Regional Minister, has, through the Public Relations Officer of the Regional Coordination Council has responded to the alleged snubbing of Dagbon Traditional Council meeting on the launch of Dagbon Development Fund on Saturday, October 2 last week.
In an immediate release copied to ghdominancenews.com, the council denied that a letter of invitation was sent to the minister through it, adding that it is the last thing they will do because the chieftaincy institution is an integral partner in development of the area.
“The Co-ordinating Council is shocked at the insinuations being made because the council has never received any invitation to that event (Dagbon Development Fund launch)”, the release said.
“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state that the Minister will never engage in any act that will seek to undermine the authority of the Ya-Naa and traditional chieftaincy authority in the region. The recognition that the chieftaincy institution is a great partner to the strive for development is well recognized by the Minister and he upholds this tenet at all times”, it added.
