The immediate past Northern Regional Minister who is currently a board member of Bui Power Authority, Salifu Saeed has debunked the notion that he has been relegated and forgotten in the President Akufo-Addo’s second term.
Speaking exclusively to ghdominancenews.com, minister Saaed said though his new office is seen as one without much value and relegation in the NPP government, but it more powerful than they think.
“We should be thankful to God for the opportunity. in the history of Ghana, there has not been a Regional Minister who served complete 4 year term like I did. You may find yourself in a position people think has no influence, but the benefits that come with it can not be quantified. It is small as compared to the previous one, but there’s much to it”, he said.
The Bui Power Authority board member also used the opportunity to advise the MMDCES to strengthen the relationship between the assemblies and the people they serve.
On September 3, the Energy Minister, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh today, inaugurated a new governing board for the Bui Power Authority at a short ceremony at the Ministry’s conference room.
The Seven Member Board which is being chaired by Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh (MP, Sunyani East), has as members, Hon. Samuel Kofi Dzamesi (Chief Executive Officer of the Bui Power Authority), Hon. Salifu Sa-Eed, Nana Ama Tima Boakye, Hon. Paul Twum-Barimah, Dr. Mrs. Rebecca Acquah-Arhin and Mr. Kwame Appia Kyei.
