The man in the eye of the storm, Abukari Shani (Bawumia) has rendered an unqualified apology over his Facebook post on the history of Damba festival among the Gbewaa generation.
According to Mr. Shani, the post was purposely to educate his followers, particularly those coming from the Gbewaa zuliya, which he believed has been misunderstood.
“I wish to sincerely offer my unqualified apology to all those who were offended by my post on this subject matter. I honestly did not intend to provoke any debate among our enviable culture. Deep within me, I feel a lot of people misunderstood the purpose Which I commented on this topic”, he wrote.
My attention has been to the fact that some of my brothers were not happy with the post. So I therefore have since deleted the post and wish to apologise to all who may have misunderstood me”, he added.

MY ATTENTION HAS BEEN DRAWN TO THE FACT THAT, SOME OF MY BROTHERS WERE NOT HAPPY ABOUT THE POST, SO I THEREFORE HAVE SINCE DELETED THE POSTS AND WISH TO APOLOGIZE TO ALL THOSE WHO MAY HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD ME.
