Former President John Mahama has supported victims of the Offinso-Aboffuor bus accident which left more than 20 dead and several others injured in Daboya Mamkarigu Constituency.

The support which was made through be a delegation representing the former president yesterday Monday, November 15 was meant to mitigate the suffering the victims and their families will go through.

“The delegation led by the Former Northern Regional minister, Alhaji Limuna Muniru in company of Hon Obei Mahama Shaibu, Hon Yusif Sulemana, Hon Mutawakilu Galus, Hon Malik Basintale, Hon Sammy wusah, Hon Ali Kassim, Hon Original Zak, Hon Ustaz Abdullah, Hon. R.A Jalil, Hon Amin Mohammed, Hon Muniru Gazari, Hon Bahie Amos, Dr Ekpampo among others visited the various families in their communities and presented a sum of Ghc20,000 to them to cater for the funeral needs and support the families in these hard times”, the NDC Communications Officer in the Savanna Region, Malik Basintale wrote.

“A further donation has been advanced to support in paying the medical bills of those hospitalised”, he added.

According to him, his is not the only support coming from the former president.He said president Mahama has taken it upon himself to support the needy, orphanage and the less privileged in the Savanna Region.

“This adds on to the many other kind gestures of H.E John Mahama in being a father to the fatherless and supporting the less privileged in times of their need within the Savannah region”, Malik disclosed.
