Former MP. for Tatale-sanguli constituency, Hon. Tampi Acheampong Simon has called for calm in KUYULI a suburb of Tatale, following last Friday morning’s chieftancy clash.
The clash which was caused by a chieftancy dispute, led to the death of one person, leaving the rest in critical conditions and the destruction of properties.
“The unfortunate incident has left me so worried and devastated. This isn’t the right way to express our grievances”, the former MP wrote.
“Let us eschew the bad blood that leads us to the wrong path, and embrace peace.
Peace does not mean an absence of conflict. Differences will always be there. Peace means solving these differences through peaceful means like: dialoque, education, knowledge and through humane ways”, he added.
According to him, peace is not something the residents is the area can never obtain on a silver platter or from outsiders, untill the create a platform to have it by themselves.
“Let me use this opportunity to congratulate the security services for their swift responds in containing the situation till now. Yet still, their professional surveillance is needed from now onwards, to curb any sort of reoccurances”, he said.
“I therefore extend my sympathies and sincere condolences to the bereaved family and also to wish those still in hospitals, a speedy recovery and God’s guidance and safety upon their lives”, he concluded.
