The New Patriotic Party (NPP) 1st vice chairperson in the Savannah Region, Dr. Amadu Musah Abudu has rated the vice president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia over the former president John Dramani Mahama in terms of who has attention to develop the Gonjaland.
The NPP vice Chairman said this when he was addressing a section of the youth in Bole, the backyard of the former president on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
“There’s much gap between Dr. Bawumia and John Mahama in terms of development in the 5 Northern Regions. In terms of development, appointments, job creation, changing lives and nurturing the youth, Dr. Bawumia stands all”, the 1st Vice Chairman said.
According to Dr. Amadu Musah Abudu, though the former president is from the Savannah Region, but he has done so little to turn things around, including the Northern Region, Upper East and West and Northeast Regions.
This is not first time such statement was made daring the NDC 2020 flagbearer to prove them wrong.
In October last year, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and the Member of Parliament for the Damongo constituency, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor also said the people of the Savannah Region have been represented better in the Nana Addo led administration than during the administration of the opposition NDC.
“Even though John Dramani Mahama is our brother but the Nana Addo led administration has offered the opportunity to many individuals in the Savannah Region to serve in governance than when our own brother was in office”, he said.
