Vice president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has thrashed his main contender in the yet to be held presidential primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party NPP, Alan Kwojo Kyeremanteng in a latest survey conducted by Global Info Analytics.

This was disclosed by the Executive Director of the organization, Musah Danquah when he appeared on Citi TV’s Point of View yesterday’s evening, February 2 hosted by Benard Avle.

In an answer to a question that ‘if you were a delegate in the NPP presidential primaries, which of the following candidates would you vote for?’, 40% said they would have voted for Dr. Bawumia, while 28% chose the Trade Minister whereas the Agric Minister, Dr. Akoto Afriyie had 3%, Boakye Agyako – 2% and 1% each for Joe Gartey and Konadu Apraku respectively.

But in the answer to the question – ‘If the 2024 elections were between Dr. Bawumia and John Mahama, whom would you vote for?’, 43% answered that they would have voted for the former president John Dramani Mahama while 37% said they would have gone for Dr. Bawumia.

Meanwhile, in a possible race between John Mahama and Alan Kyeremanteng, 42% decided to vote for Mr. Mahama while 38% believed it should have been Mr. Alan.

The topic for discussion was on the latest poll on Gov’t performance, E-levy and the race for 2024.
