CropLife Ghana (CLG) is a non-profit making organization which represents the crop protection industry in Ghana.

It is an association of agrochemical importers and distributors in Ghana and is affiliated with CropLife Africa Middle East (CLAME) and CropLife International (CLI).

We promote modern farming practices and champion the use of crop protection technology important for the sustainable intensification of agriculture.

CropLife Ghana’s awareness raising and stewardship activities promote the safe, responsible and sustainable use of pesticides and fertilizers in Ghana and also encourage management practices that safeguard harvests, human health, and the environment. 

Currently, we have a membership of twenty (20) companies and still counting and these companies are: ADAMA WEST AFRICA, AFCOTT GHANA LTD, BASF, BAYER WCA-SA, CALLI GHANA, CANDEL LTD, CHEMICO LTD, CORTEVA, DIZENGOFF GHANA LTD, KUMARK AGRO, RAINBOW AGROSCIENCES LTD, REISS &CO GHANA LTD, RMG GHANA LTD, LOUIS DREYFUS COMPANY, WYNCA SUNSHINE, YARA GHANA LTD,  JUBAILI AGROTEC, BON AGRO, CROP DOCTOR, OVERSEAS WAREHOUSE.

Counterfeiting is a dangerous and growing problem for all industries, including the plant science industry. Counterfeiting of plant science products brings a range of negative effects for the industry, farmers and the environment.

The proliferation of counterfeits and illegal pesticides and fertilizers in Ghanaian Agriculture markets has remained a major challenge affecting farmers, CopLife Ghana member companies, food security and the environment at large.

As we approach the farming season, CropLife Ghana continues to raise awareness of farmers and the general public on the effects of buying counterfeit and illegal pesticides and fertilizers from unlicensed and unapproved input dealers and companies.

To this effect, CropLife Ghana is appealing to farmers and the general public to seek proper education of products before, during and after it’s usage to help reduce the negative effect or health implications on the society.

Crop Life Ghana is therefore appealing to relevant bodies like the EPA, the security sector among others  who are monitors at various borderlands to up their game as usual to combat the canker of counterfeiting in the country.

The faith of the Ghanaians of whom is protected by the  EPA, Ghana Police Service, Customs, Immigration can always be rest assured hence the need for citizens to report cases of counterfeiting or person’s involved in the unlawful act for prosecution. 

CropLife Ghana and it’s member companies in the interest country will always ensure that farmers get the best produce  and inputs in the agricultural sector to serve the general public. Together. Let’s Say NO to counterfeits and illegal pesticides and report suspicious persons to the relevant authorities.
