A former parliamentary candidate hopeful of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Gushegu Constituency, Prince Hardi Adams has said the country is in a wrong direction, adding that it will be difficult for either Alan or Bawumia to win the next elections after president Akufo-Addo ends his tenure in 2024.

The not too happy said this on Radio Tamale’s evening political talkshow dubbed – Yelivuhi Dundong’ni last night, on March 3, 2022 in a phone interview with Abdul Shakur Omae.

“2024 it depends on what president Akufo-Addo has done. Whether Bawumia or Alan, it will be difficult for us to win the elections. Even as I speak to you, we can’t pay workers. There is no money in the system. The country is going in the wrong direction. It will be strange if Bawumia wins 2024. The way the situation is, anybody Nana Addo us going to support will lose. That is why I don’t want Nana Addo to declare his support for Bawumia”, he told the host.

According to him, the president, who is the leader of the governing NPP can not escape the blame that he is part and parcel of the problems the party is facing in the country.

Prince Hardi Adams was part of individuals who declared their intentions to contest for the NPP parliamentary primaries in the Gushegu Constituency ahead of the 2020 elections.
