A member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the northern region, Iliasu Waala a.k.a. as he is popularly known in the political arena has questioned the ability of some individuals in the party vying to be General Secretary.
Speaking on radio Tamale’s weekend political talkshow dubbed Boot 4 Boot, he wondered why some persons in the party are vying to occupy the position of General Secretary after they could not manage (2) constituencies under their jurisdiction.
“How can you failed to manage only 2 constituencies yet you want the party to entrust in your care a position of General Secretary?”, he asked.
When pushed by the host to mention the name of such persons or specify which constituencies the person he was referring to failed to manage, Obama as he is also known said, “I won’t mention the names. But that person could be an MP, or former Mayor.”
But information from the camp of former mayor for Tamale Metropolis, Iddrisu Musah Superior indicates Elee was referring to their boss, and hence they will reply him soon.
The sources that disclosed to ghdominancenews.com said Mr. Superior is the only person so far who had two (2) constituencies ; Tamale South and Central Constituencies under his jurisdiction as Mayor and the only person vying for the position of General Secretary who well fits the description of Elee.
They hinted that though he did not mention Superior’s name, but they have understood him very well, and hence, they response being prepared.
So far, four (4) persons, including Richard Ahiagbah, Justin Frimpong Kodua popularly known as JFK and the incumbent, Mr. John Boadu have expressed interest in contesting for the position, if nominations are opened.
