A social media communicator of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the northern region, identified by his Facebook name as N-yabi Sule Yendi has declared that the party’s Regional Chairman, Mohammed Banntima Samba has no competitor.

According to him, Alhaji Amadu Inusah (Dagomba Boy) who is also vying for the position is not in the race, daring him to win a position for any constituency executive aspirant identified with him, if he has power or influence in Yendi.

The NPP dye-in-the-wool supporter threw the challenge when he took to Facebook to respond to Alhaji Dagomba Boy’s interview on NTV this morning following some comments indicating the Yendi former constituency chairman is powerful.

“If Dagomba Boy thinks he has that powers he should put a candidate in Yendi where he is from to win the coming Constituency elections”, N-Yabi Sule wrote.

Commenting elsewhere, N-yabi Sule alleges that even persons who were known to be Dagomba Boy’s supporters lost miserably when they contested for positions in the last electoral area coordinators elections in Lamashegu and other electoral areas.

He said he was certain that majority of NPP supporters in the Yendi Constituency prefer the Chairman Samba to continue for the next 8 years than have their countryman become the party’s regional chairman.

It will be recalled that the Yendi MP, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama has on several occasions declared his support against Alhaji Dagomba Boy, adding that he would do anything to see Chairman Samba reelected.
