The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Florida State Chapter, Abubakari Shani popularly known as Bawumia said the 2024 General Elections will not be a difficult task for the party, if does its homework well.

He said this at NPP USA National Delegates Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 4, 2022.

According to him, the NPP only needs to put the same energy they put into 2016 elections that won them absolute majority in parliament, adding that they lost about 31 seats in the last elections and that shouldn’t happen again.

“If you look at the 2016, number of seats we appreciated in 2016 and what we got in 2020, a deficit of 31 seats. So it tells you that if we are able to do our inhous cleaning well, 2024 shouldn’t be a big deal for us”, Mr. Shani Bawumia said.

“That is why most of the points they (our speakers) made here made sense. It tells us that we should put more energy in uniting our front and be honest to each other. And to also shy away from you do me I do you type of politics. It doesn’t help anyone”, he added.

Speaking at the same delegates conference, CEO of the Ghana Buffer Stock, Mr. Abdul Hanan Alubi challenged all appointees to use their positions in government to energize the party base for 2024 elections by supporting and listening to the concerns of the grassroots.

According to Alhaji Hanan, “the grassroots are the engine of the party that can win us election 2024, so they must be listened to, and taken care of”.

Contributing to a panel discussion, the man people affectionately call “the footsoldiers CEO” due to his kindness to footsoldiers also advised the party people to be honest and appreciate the efforts and support of the appointees who are doing their best to support.
