Following with keen interest the aftermath of a live panel discussion I partook of on Angel TV on Saturday July 16, 2022 during the recently held NPP national delegates conference, my attention has been drawn to a video in circulation on social media with the aforementioned misleading caption on a social media portal of ANGEL TV which I seek to clarify:

Firstly, there is no such scene in the said 1hr 6 minutes and 4 seconds video that captured any such violent confrontation between Jennifer Queen and myself. In view of this, it is obvious that the caption was only a journalistic strategy cleverly crafted by Angel TV to cause media traffic to promote their content.

Secondly, the discussion between Jennifer Queen (a spokesperson for Mr. John Boadu) and myself (a rep for Lawyer Justin Frimprong Kodua) became heated at the tail end of the said interview, leading regrettably to some verbal exchanges. Jennifer Queen was the first to cast aspersions after aspersions directly at my person on the show rather than sticking to the issues being discussed; for which I replied her in equal measure without mincing words.

The incident being described as “ambush” was occasioned by my colleague’s threat to slap me on national TV. And inasmuch as I took strong exception to that comment, I did not in any way attempt to “beat her up” as being purported, violence is not a part of my upbringing. Please, disregard any such information making rounds.

Nonetheless, I would like to use this medium to sincerely apologize (as I have already done on all my social media platforms) to anyone who might have been hurt by my actions in the course of the campaign. It was never intended to be personal. I humbly beseech all and sundry to bury the hatchet so we can forge ahead in unity for the sake of our great New Patriotic Party and the betterment of mother Ghana.

Kindest regards.

Yours Sincerely,

Signed

(Alhassan Abdul Ganiyu)
