A social media communicator and former Tamale South Constituency Secretary aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Saadat Nabila Abdulai known by his Facebook name as Charles A. Tia has angrily replies to the darling nephew of president Akufo-Addo, lawyer Gabby Otchere Darko on the latter’s comments on reshuffle in the government.
According to the highly incensed Saadat, the family of president Akufo-Addo who decide what happens or does not happen in the government cares less about the NPP’s victory in 2024 general elections.
His comments were necessitated by a post by lawyer Gabby suggesting that a reshuffle as demanded by many in the party is not a solution to the current economic situation the country is facing.
“It is as if a reshuffle will suddenly end the war in Ukraine, bring down inflation and make the cedi stronger than the dollar”, Gabby wrote.
“Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko we can’t fault you. You guys have realized the long awaited family aspiration. You care not whether NPP wins 2024 or not”, Saadat responded.
“We want things to be done right, Yes! We need to use nana addo records as a bargaining chip hence the need for reshuffle. We have the men. These men are currently tired”, he added.
This is the second time the NPP stalwart is asking Ghanaians and political watchers to be measured with calls for a ministerial reshuffle.
Gabby Otchere-Darko had said in the past that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was not “quick to reshuffle” his ministers despite intense pressure, but will do so at the right time.
Ghanaians have been mounting pressure on the president to sack some of his ministers and re-assign others.
The calls have also intensified because some ministers are preparing for other political ambitions.
